Welcome to Helping Hands Handyman's page.
Take time to browse through the photos of work we have completed.
A little about us. We are married. We start my day off asking our Lord to guide us through the day so we may be a blessing to others using the skills and knowledge that our Lord and Savior has blessed us with.
Your Owner/Carpenter: Michael has over 40 years of carpentry experience, however much more than that, as he started as a young child working on and building boats with his grandfather learning the carpentry craft/trade. He pursued this craft while in high school for 2 years through the vocational technical classes offered to him. He then worked under many carpenters to increase his skills. Michael hand draws all blueprints old school way. Through the years he has accomplished much.
He is a Disabled Veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Gulf War and Desert Storm/Desert Shield, Kuwait and Iraq.
In 2006 he studied and acquired his Maryland Home Improvement license and obtained a Lead Abatement certification. We moved here to Wild and Wonderful West Virginia in the small community of Alum Bridge, located in Lewis County. He studied the West Virginia contractors law and obtained our West Virginia Contractors License. In 2011 we began our business here as a small handyman business and have grown to much more. We specialize in the small jobs because the big boys don't want them.
Your office manager: Lori has over 40 years' experience in office management and working with the public. She has been working in the construction field for over 25 years with her husband, learning the trade. She no longer works on sites in a major capacity but does show up to except delivery of material, help finalize jobs with doing punch lists to make sure all work has been done and nothing has been forgotten, along with helping with the clean up on the job sites. She has learned to draw blueprints from Michael. You will most likely hear her voice when calling to set up your "Free" estimates. She does the scheduling of all work and delivery of materials as needed, along with getting permits and such.
Michael's passion is woodworking. The making of things from wood on his time off is what he loves to do.
Lori's passion is crocheting and baking. Making foods and watching them being enjoyed gives great pleasure.
We are here to use our skilled hands to help you with your handyman jobs or to build you that beautiful deck or gazebo you always wanted. From the inside out we are here to help.
